About Us

Life Farms is a Christian organic method farm located in the heart of Pinellas County in Clearwater. The farm is named in honor of Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life.  Our purpose is to glorify God and serve man. We intend to provide nutrient dense food, loving service, and educational information to our customers. We have vegetables, fruit, herbs, eggs, honey, and more. In the past, for many years, we talked about creating an organic method farm. During that time, we had a chance to find enough property in the local community at a feasible price for farming.  Thanks be to God, we found land and the farm begun!   For good measure, we continually have our soil tested for its level of fertileness and livliness.  Our first plants went in the ground in the spring of 2013. Our first CSA season was in the fall of 2013.

We look forward to seeing you at Life Farms!

About Victor

Greetings from your farmer!  My interest in plants began when I was about 5 years old.  The fact that you could get seeds from the dried pod of a marigold flower bloom intrigued me.  Then you could plant the seeds that cost you nothing to grow more marigold plants.  Wow!  In Texas in the year 1984, I apprenticed on a 5-acre organic farm.  It was very diverse and had both fruits and vegetables growing.  Chickens were also raised on the farm.  From 1990-1994, at the University of Florida in Gainsville (IFAS), I was the farm manager for the Organic Gardening Research and Education Park.  We grew organic vegetables from seed.  We used different variations of organic fertilizers and techniques.  We also did a lot of plant variety trial work.  James M. Stephens, author of Vegetable Gardening in Florida, was one of my two bosses.  He did a lot of work with the county extension and with the Master Gardener program.  My second boss was Dr. Steve Kostewicz who taught commercial vegetable production and also organic gardening classes. What a wonderful way to learn!

During the more recent years, we had home-schooling families meet.  Locally, we would garden together.  Some of the plants at Life Farms came from these gardens.  It is my desire to serve God and man with the work here at the farm.  I would like the farm to be a place of beauty for you to come to see.  A place where the food is as nutrient dense as possible.  A place where you can meet others, learn, and be treated kindly.

Regards,
